Life's happenings thus far in 2010

This year started with a bang! By bang I mean a SUPER COLD winter that lasted for months and months. I never wanted to take the girls outside but they would beg and beg to go play in the snow. So Gregg built his own little hill the girls could slide down in our yard. Lily loved it and Macy didn't know quite what to think.

The so called Spring weather this year was more like winter without snow. It was so cold and windy and on one of those super windy days Gregg took the girls out back and flew a kite. It was a little too windy though and the kite flew smack dab into a tree!

For Easter this year we took the girls to the X94 Easter Egg Hunt at the Naples Park. They have the kids split up into certain age divisions and they then just have candy and some toys thrown around on the ground. It actually worked out really nice and the girls really did get quite a bit of candy. But it sure was cold. Brrrr.

This is in St. George at a place called Red Cliffs. We had to hike about a mile into this canyon and nestled in it was a swimming area and waterfall. It was breathtaking. Also as you can see by the pictures Lily is starting to "pose" for pictures.

While we were down in St. George I ran a 10k with my siter in law Lori. It was called the "Hell Hole 10k" and let me say that it really was. It was the hardest thing I have done in a long time. Not the 6 miles that I ran but the terrain I ran on. We started out by running down a steep incline to then run up and down some major hills, so steep that we were running on tippy toes. We then had to run back up the steep incline we had to run down thus it being said that we ran to "hell" and back!

For Memorial Day we went with Grandma and Grandpa to visit my Grandad's grave. The girls must have known it was his grave because they were not shy to climb all over it. Lily made him a picture to put on his grave. We sure miss our Grandad.

One night we went over to visit Grandpa Nels. The girls loved getting into all of his things and having Grandpa Nels tease them. They also love his dog Shelby. We sure love our grandparents.

My little Macy turned 2 this year and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. We celebrated with cake and ice cream and family coming over to the church pavilion. Macy LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba and it seriously is the only show on TV that she'll watch so of course I had to get her a Yo Gabba Gabba cake. Boy was she excited. She also got a new baby doll set and a trike.

The second week of July we had a Pedersen Family Reunion with my parents and all of my siblings. The first night we went and supported my sister in law Bobbi Jo while she performed during the Country Showdown. She did such a great job and the girls had such a fun time dancing around. We then went up to my Dad's cabin on Diamond Mountain and had fun riding 4wheelers and just visiting with one another. The next few days were spent taking family pictures, playing with cousins, going to the waterslide, slip n sliding at Grandma's house and playing Minute to Win it that my brother Michael put together.
