Life at the Happiest Place on Earth

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Jon and Nicole's house in St. George to spend it with the Carlson's. The Sunday after we drove into Anaheim to spend 2 days at Disneyland. We didn't even think about holiday traffic and spent 10 hours driving to Anaheim instead of the regular 5 1/2 hours that it takes. Thankfully the girls did so well! On Monday we went to Disneyland and had such a fun time. It was all decorated for Christmas and it didn't disappoint.
When walking first into Disneyland quite a few characters are always about. I could see Mickey and I was so excited for the girls to see him and I asked them if they could see him yet. Macy responded that she could and she said "I love Mickey so much." While waiting in line to see him I then hear Macy scream bloody murder. She had really seen Mickey this time and she didn't like him one bit. She kept saying she wanted to go back home! Lily on the other hand was so excited and ran and gave him a big hug.

Macy wouldn't go see Goofy at all! In fact she didn't want to see anymore characters up close, not even the Princesses.

Lily's first princess to meet. She was a little shy at first. Rapunzel and Flynn acted just like their characters on the movie, really witty!!
Lily and I riding the rollercoaster in Toon Town, I was laughing so hard and she got a "tiny" bit scared at the end.
Waiting for the parade with churros, of course!!

There's Sleeping Beauty!!! Lily's favorite Princess.
We waited in line to see the Princesses the first day we were there and you don't know which ones you will be seeing. Lily was excited to see all of them but most importantly Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). It ended up that we met Belle, Jasmine and Tiana. She was really excited but still wanted to see Aurora. Later that night we got to see her in the parade but the next morning we took Lily back to the Princess area to see if we could meet Aurora face to face this time. So another wait in line and we get right to the front and they switched the Princesses out. The "guard" told us they switch them every 40 minutes or so between this area and Ariels Grotto. A place to eat with the Princesses. So we go in and it's Belle again, Ariel, and Tiana again. Lily was still excited to see them again but she was just sure that Aurora was in there this time. Maybe next time we go we'll get to meet Aurora.

So glad we got to meet Ariel!!
The second day we decided to head back to Disneyland before California Adventures opened up. Macy told us that she would be nice to Mickey today and not cry. Haha. So this is Macy just getting warmed up to the idea of "characters" since this is a "Teddy Bear."

Lily kept saying before we went up to Chip and Dale that they were teasers and she didn't know if she wanted to see them. Ha!
Macy kept asking to see Donald but once there she said "I don't like Donald no more."
Because Gregg and I went with just our little family to Disneyland, we had to ride the big rides by ourselves, so this is Gregg riding California Screaming!

My only regret: Not staying longer!!!

Annual Carlson Christmas Gift Exchange

Each year Gregg's family tries to all get together and have their Annual Gift Exchange Party. After some yummy dinner we each draw a name and then go to Walmart or someplace similar and buy a $5 gift for the person we drew. Afterward we come back and wrap the gifts and hand them out! Gregg's family is extremely large and when we get together it can be a circus at time :)! This year we had it after Thanksgiving and so we didn't get to have everyone there.

Gregg opening his gift of Dominos.
Lily got a Princess make-up set, Macy got a stuffed Panda Bear and I got a really cute necklace!

Halloween Life

This year for Halloween we were surrounded by guess...... Princesses!
Ariel showed up at our house alongside Snow White!

And the Addams Family made a visit too! For the past 3 years we have gone to the Bennion Halloween Party with friends and we have such a great time!

Lily turns 4!

Seriously, did she really turn 4 this year? Lily is really into Princesses right now and I have to admit I am loving it. I love seeing her eyes sparkle with excitement over them. So we had a Princess Party for her this year with her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. After the party was over she started twirling around and said "Mom, this is the best birthday ever!"

We love our Lily so much. She is such a sweet, kind, and caring daughter! She is always saying the kindest things like: "Mom, your my best friend", "I missed you so much", "Your hair looks so cute today", or "What a cute shirt you have on." We are so blessed to have her as our daughter and she already is becoming a great person!

Cabin Life

Fishing takes a LOT of patience. And we waited and waited and waited and finally.....
"Lily" finally caught a fish and reeled it in all by "herself."

We went to the cabin a couple of times this year! Gregg and I had decided last year that we were going to try and come up more often this year and so we did. We have such a fun time taking picnics and spending time with Grandpa and Grandma. The girls love seeing the deer that are always around and they also got to enjoy going fishing for the first time.
