Summer Life 2011

Summer was such a busy time for our family. Gregg and I were Ma's and Pa's on the Glines Stake Trek the end of June! We really had such a great time and will never forget the experiences of it all. A week later we headed to Spanish Fork Canyon to spend the weekend at the Carlson Family Reunion. This is Gregg's dads and all his siblings and families. They get together every other year. This year we were there without Nels'. It felt empty to say the least. 2 weeks later we went down South. I took Lily to St. George a few days alone so we could go to Tuacahn's A Little Mermaid. It was amazing and we had such a great time. Any body that knows Macy knows that she just won't sit still for something like that. So she stayed home with Gregg. On Wednesday we headed to Lake Powell and met Gregg and Macy. We stayed a few days with all of Gregg's siblings. This is our annual Carlson reunion with immediate family. Last year was our first year doing it and everybody had such a great time we decided to make it an annual occasion! We then had the Pedersen family reunion with my dad's siblings and families. This is always just a Saturday over the 24th of July that we have lunch and get together. They had a blow up water slide which was a huge hit with the kids. The day before we ended up rafting the green river with most of the adults and older kids and had lots of fun. The weekend after that we had the Perry Reunion up at Massey Meadows. This is Gregg's moms siblings and families. I was so worn out with anything at this point that we just went up on Friday and spent all day instead of spending the night. 2 weeks after that we went out to Cowabunga Bay and Lagoon with my mom and dad and siblings. We really did have such a fun time with them as well but like I say I was so worn out at this point that I just wanted to have the summer be over!!! I have sworn I will never do another summer like that again....that being said it probably won't happen :)!
